Historic Nuremberg cityscapes and an intricate woven-cane pattern distinguish this vintage German lebkuchen tin chest, attributed to Schuhmann of Nuremberg. The decorative metal cookie tin features a colorful riverside scene across its raised lid, smaller framed architectural illustrations around the sides, and warm orange borders with gold-tone trim. Its generous size makes it a distinctive keepsake box, decorative storage chest, or display piece for collectors of European biscuit tins, German confectionery packaging, and vintage kitchen décor. The basketweave artwork gives the metal surface the visual texture of woven wicker, complementing the traditional city scenes. Good vintage condition with surface wear, scratches, and areas of discoloration consistent with age and use.
