Delicate pink and yellow rose sprays decorate this antique Jean Pouyat Limoges covered vegetable serving bowl, crafted in Limoges, France, circa late 1890s–early 1900s. Featuring fine French porcelain, ornate molded scrollwork, graceful side handles, and hand-applied gold accents along the scalloped edges and fitted lid, this elegant covered dish captures the refined Victorian and early Edwardian tableware styles of the turn of the 20th century. The green J.P. Limoges France backstamp identifies the Jean Pouyat porcelain factory. Its softly colored floral decoration and sculptural details make it a beautiful addition to an antique china cabinet, traditional dining room, or collection of French Limoges porcelain, rose-pattern china, and decorative serving ware. Good antique condition with minor wear consistent with age and use.
