Blending handcrafted pottery with folk-art inspired design, this signed studio pottery lamp features a functional stoneware jug form transformed into a distinctive lighting accent. The ceramic base showcases a softly ribbed body finished in muted gray and earthy brown glazes, while the coordinating shade is decorated in the Pennsylvania Dutch folk art tradition with stylized birds, tulips, hearts, and scrolling vine motifs inspired by traditional fraktur artwork and hex sign designs. Produced during the American craft revival of the 1970s–1990s, pieces of this type were often created by independent pottery studios and artisan makers, combining traditional stoneware techniques with regional folk-art influences. A distinctive addition to country, cottage, primitive, Americana, or folk-art interiors, this lamp offers both decorative appeal and practical function. Tested and works. Lamp and shade are in good vintage condition with minor wear consistent with age and use.
