Bring authentic vintage craftsmanship to a workshop, tool collection, or industrial display with this Stanley No. 3 adjustable carpenter’s level, crafted from richly toned cherry wood with brass hardware and fittings. Measuring an impressive 30 inches long, this substantial level features the classic Stanley wood body, inset spirit-level vial assemblies, brass hardware, and a surviving Stanley Tools decal on the face. The adjustable design refers to the vial assembly, which can be mechanically realigned and calibrated using the brass adjustment hardware to maintain an accurate level reading as the wooden body naturally changes over time. Stanley produced these precision wooden levels for professional carpenters, builders, and tradesmen, and this example dates to the early-to-mid 20th century, circa 1920s–1930s, manufactured in New Britain, Connecticut, USA. Its combination of cherry wood, aged brass, original hardware, and time-worn Stanley branding gives it excellent character for a vintage hand-tool collection, workshop décor, or architectural and industrial display. Good vintage condition with wear and patina consistent with age and use.
