Vintage Spartus solid state alarm clock model #21-3004-500, produced in the United States during the late 1970s to early 1980s by the Spartus Corporation, which was based in Chicago, Illinois. Spartus was well known for manufacturing affordable electric clocks and small electronics during the mid-20th century, and their solid state alarm clocks became common household bedside clocks as digital and transistorized technology replaced earlier mechanical designs. This compact example features a classic utilitarian design typical of late-1970s electronics, combining durable plastic housing with reliable electric movement and a built-in alarm function. The clock has been tested and works, making it both a functional bedside timepiece and a nostalgic piece of vintage American electronics. Offered in good vintage condition with minor wear consistent with age and use.
