Sony Secutive Dictator BM-20 Cassette Recorder Vintage 1970s

Step back into the era of executive office dictation with this Sony Secutive Dictator BM-20, a professional-grade cassette dictation and transcription unit designed for business, legal, and administrative environments. Manufactured by Sony in Japan during the 1970s, the BM-20 features a simulated woodgrain cabinet, integrated speaker, cassette transport controls, tape counter, telephone recording capability, and volume adjustment for efficient voice recording and playback. This example includes its original protective dust cover and powers on successfully, with the rewind and fast-forward functions operating when tested. While not tested with a cassette tape, all observed functions appear to be working as intended. A desirable piece for collectors of vintage office equipment, Sony electronics, and retro recording technology, it also makes an attractive display piece for mid-century and executive office décor.

Note: Due to the nature of this technology, we are not able to test all functionality (such as telephone recording etc) All appears to be in working order though it may only be good as parts or decor.
