Add vibrant Mediterranean character to your home with this selection of vintage Skyros Greek hand-painted folk art plates, crafted on the island of Skyros, Greece, circa 1970s. Choose one or both distinctive designs, each featuring richly detailed hand-painted decoration inspired by traditional Greek and Aegean folk art. One plate showcases a dramatic pair of stylized birds surrounding a floral urn, while the other depicts a colorful couple dressed in traditional Greek folk costumes amid abundant flowers and geometric motifs. Both feature scalloped molded edges, small side handles, a creamy white glazed ground, and a vivid palette of cobalt blue, green, ochre, orange, purple, and burgundy characteristic of the bold Mediterranean decorative ceramics popular during the 1970s. The undersides are hand marked Skyros along with an artist or workshop monogram. Substantial at approximately 14 inches across, these decorative plates make striking examples of 1970s Greek island pottery and are ideal for a gallery wall, plate collection, Mediterranean interior, or vintage folk art display. Good vintage condition with minor wear consistent with age and use. Choose one or both designs.
