Add refined antique English elegance to your table with this Johnson Bros. Royal Semi-Porcelain covered vegetable serving dish, featuring delicate sprays of pink blossoms and green foliage across a creamy white ground, accented by graceful molded handles, a scalloped pedestal foot, and ornate gold gilt detailing. The crown backstamp reading “Royal Semi-Porcelain – Johnson Bros – England” is associated with Johnson Brothers wares from the late 19th to early 20th century, placing this piece approximately circa 1890s–1910s. Manufactured in Hanley, Staffordshire, England, the substantial semi-porcelain body combines the durability of English ironstone-type earthenware with the refined appearance of porcelain. Complete with its matching domed lid and decorative handle, this antique floral covered serving bowl is an appealing addition to collections of Johnson Brothers china, Victorian and Edwardian tableware, English transferware, and antique floral dinnerware. Good antique condition with minor wear consistent with age and use.
