Released in 1985 on Atlantic Records, Under a Raging Moon was Roger Daltrey’s sixth solo studio album and a heartfelt tribute to fellow Who drummer Keith Moon, who had passed away in 1978. The title track features an extraordinary lineup of drummers—including Roger Taylor, Carl Palmer, Cozy Powell, Stewart Copeland, Zak Starkey, and Mark Brzezicki—each contributing sections of the song in honor of Moon’s legacy. The album also includes “After the Fire,” written by Pete Townshend, along with “The Pride You Hide” and “Move Better in the Night.” Blending arena rock, contemporary 1980s production, and personal reflection, the album remains one of Daltrey’s most notable solo releases outside of The Who. A desirable addition for collectors of classic rock, The Who memorabilia, and 1980s vinyl records. Good vintage condition with wear consistent with age and use.
