Decorated with delicate botanical illustrations inspired by the private gardens of the British royal family, this Portmeirion The Queen’s Hidden Garden canister pairs classic English ceramics with a natural wood lid. Made in England during the 1990s, the ceramic storage jar features detailed clover blossoms and foliage adapted from botanical paintings by Marjorie Lyon, with the collection created by designer Shehrzad Forouzan and presented by Portmeirion from David Bellamy’s The Queen’s Hidden Garden. The clean cylindrical form and crisp white ground allow the finely rendered pink, white, and green botanical decoration to take center stage, while the fitted wood lid adds a warm country kitchen accent. The underside bears the full Portmeirion Presents The Queen’s Hidden Garden by David Bellamy backstamp identifying the painting, designer, and English manufacture. A beautiful collectible for enthusiasts of Portmeirion pottery, English ceramics, botanical kitchenware, cottage décor, floral canisters, and vintage British tableware. Good vintage condition with minor wear consistent with age and use.
