Rich green borders and romantic floral bouquets give this set of four antique rimmed soup bowls a distinctive late-Victorian appearance, featuring scalloped edges, pale green shading, and central pink-and-purple floral transfer decorations. Manufactured circa 1883–1892 by Empire Pottery in Trenton, New Jersey, the bowls bear the company’s “Imperial China—Warranted” backstamp; Imperial China was the pottery’s trade name for its durable American ironstone tableware rather than the manufacturer’s name. Good antique condition with overall crazing, discoloration, and minor wear consistent with age and use.
