Bring rare natural-history artwork to your walls with this antique 1913 zoological chromolithograph depicting Agalychnis spurrelli, also known as Spurrell’s leaf frog or the gliding tree frog, resting on a broad leaf above clusters of eggs. Marked “P.Z.S. 1913. Pl. CIII,” this scientific illustration was published as Plate 103 in the Proceedings of the Zoological Society of London in London, England. The inscription “J. Green del. et chromo.” credits J. Green with drawing and chromolithographing the plate, which displays finely layered color, anatomical detail, and the frog’s distinctive webbed feet. Presented beneath coordinating cream and green matting in a wood frame, it makes striking décor for a study, library, natural-history collection, or gallery wall. Good antique condition with minor wear consistent with age and use.
