Bring the romance of the Age of Sail to your décor with this vintage Spanish frigate model ship, crafted as a decorative representation of an 18th-century sailing vessel. Mounted on a wood display base with a plaque reading “Fragata Española Año 1780,” the model features a painted wooden hull, three tall masts, aged fabric sails, detailed standing and running rigging, crow’s nests, ladders, an extended bowsprit, anchor, and miniature deck fittings. The 1780 date refers to the historical period represented by the ship rather than the manufacture date of the model itself. Based on its materials, construction, hardware, and decorative finish, the model appears to have been made in Spain during the mid-to-late 20th century, circa 1960s–1980s, when Spanish-made historic sailing ship models were popular decorative and souvenir pieces. Good vintage condition with wear consistent with age and display.
