Vintage folk art toleware serving tray, hand-painted and signed “Allyson ’85,” a charming example of late 20th century American decorative tole painting inspired by traditional Pennsylvania Dutch and country folk art motifs. Crafted from painted metal with classic octagonal shaping and integrated handles, the tray features a deep blue ground decorated with a welcoming folk art scene of two stylized birds flanking a red heart and tulip, framed by scrolling green vines and berry accents. The word “Welcome” appears in hand-lettered script, reinforcing the warm country aesthetic that became popular in farmhouse and Americana décor during the 1970s–1980s revival of traditional decorative painting. Both decorative and functional, this tray works beautifully for serving, entryway display, or wall décor in farmhouse, cottage, or country interiors. Offered in good vintage condition with minor wear consistent with age and use. Live signature visible.
