Add exceptional late-19th-century European art glass to your collection with this antique Theresienthal attributed enameled glass decanter, made in Bavaria, Germany, circa 1880–1900. A striking example of German Historismus glass, this hand-blown decanter features a warm olive-amber glass body accented by a dramatic applied turquoise-blue twisted glass handle and coordinating stopper, richly raised polychrome enamel flowers, turquoise foliage, and elaborate gilt decoration. The distinctive combination of yellow-green glass, aquamarine applied elements, colorful floral enameling, and gold ornament closely corresponds with documented Theresienthal Historismus production of the late 19th century, although the unsigned piece cannot be definitively factory-confirmed. Its ornate craftsmanship and unusual color palette make it an impressive collectible for enthusiasts of Theresienthal glass, German art glass, antique enameled glass, hand-blown decanters, gilt glass, Victorian decorative arts, and 19th-century European glass. Good antique condition with minor wear consistent with age and use.
