Celebrate classic American advertising with this set of two original Coca-Cola print advertisements published in the United States in 1950. Created for Coca-Cola’s memorable “Host” campaign, one ad promotes the brand as the “Host of the Highways” with a towering red vending machine, glass bottle, bottle cap character, period automobiles, and the familiar five-cent price. The coordinating “Your Host of the Airwaves” advertisement features radio entertainer Edgar Bergen and his celebrated ventriloquist character Charlie McCarthy promoting their Coca-Cola-sponsored CBS Sunday program. Both original magazine advertisements are professionally displayed beneath glass with neutral matting and substantial oak-tone wood frames. A distinctive set for collectors of vintage Coca-Cola memorabilia, soda advertising, radio history, Americana, and 1950s décor. Good vintage condition with minor wear consistent with age and display.
