Whimsical dimensional details give this vintage cherub musical trinket box a romantic mid-century character, featuring a basket-weave body, decorative feet, applied winged child figure, sculpted fruit-and-leaf finial, and hand-painted pastel colors accented with gold gilding. Crafted in Japan circa the 1950s–1960s for the export market, the porcelain box contains a wind-up musical mechanism that plays “Let Me Call You Sweetheart.” Model number 9340. Good vintage condition with crazing, gilding loss, and minor wear consistent with age and use; the music mechanism works.
