Colorful flowers climb across the whitewashed façade of this Cerámica Márquez Spanish house wall plaque, recreating the inviting character of a traditional Andalusian home with a red tile roof, wooden doors, shuttered windows, balcony, and dimensional architectural details. Handmade and hand-painted in Aracena, Huelva, Spain, during the 1980s, the plaque was formed from terracotta clay and fired at 930°C in a wood-burning kiln. The reverse bears the impressed Cerámica Márquez mark, model #163, an integrated hanging cord, and its original bilingual factory tag. A charming piece of Spanish folk art for a Mediterranean, Spanish Revival, cottage, or colorful gallery-wall display. Fair vintage condition with chips along the roof and edges, a crack visible on the reverse, paint wear, and surface marks consistent with age and display.
