Add whimsical mid-century charm to your collection with this pair of vintage ceramic cat salt and pepper shakers, featuring playful white kittens with expressive green eyes, pink accents, raised floral collars, and delicate gold-tone details. Their exaggerated faces, tufted heads, outstretched paws, and glossy hand-painted finish capture the charming kitschy style popular in 1950s–1960s ceramic kitchenware. One base retains a partial red mark that appears to read “JAPAN,” and the styling and construction are consistent with Japanese export ceramics made circa 1950s–1960s for the American market. These adorable retro cat shakers are perfect for collectors of vintage Japanese ceramics, anthropomorphic animal figurines, kitschy kitchen décor, and mid-century salt and pepper sets. Good vintage condition with minor wear consistent with age and use; both original stoppers are missing.
