Carved from warm honey-colored Egyptian alabaster, this vintage Queen Nefertiti bust features beautiful natural cream and white veining that gives each surface a distinctive appearance. The sculpture depicts the celebrated Egyptian queen with her recognizable elongated neck, elegant profile, and tall flat-topped crown, inspired by one of the most iconic portraits of Egypt’s 18th Dynasty. The softly translucent stone is calcite alabaster, a material with a long tradition in Egyptian decorative carving. Produced in Egypt circa 1960s–1980s, this mid-to-late 20th-century sculpture rests on an integrated squared base and makes an appealing display piece for collectors of Egyptian Revival décor, Nefertiti sculptures, alabaster carvings, ancient Egypt-inspired art, and vintage stone figures.
