Celebrate the legendary career of one of America's most beloved entertainers with this 1954 Bing Crosby Bing: A Musical Autobiography five-LP vinyl record collection, released by Decca Records under catalog number DX-151. Produced by Buddy Cole and issued in the United States to commemorate Decca's 20th anniversary, this complete 33⅓ RPM microgroove record set features ten sides of classic recordings, musical performances, and spoken reminiscences chronicling Crosby's remarkable career. Featuring collaborations with Buddy Cole and His Trio, the Andrews Sisters, Louis Armstrong, Bob Hope, and other celebrated performers, the collection includes memorable songs such as White Christmas, Swinging on a Star, Mississippi Mud, and Muddy Water. The five records feature Decca's automatic record changer sequencing, with Sides 1 and 10 paired on the first LP, Sides 2 and 9 on the second, and so forth, allowing listeners to play the first five sides consecutively before turning over the record stack to continue the collection. All five Decca records are included in individual paper sleeves, accompanied by a vintage 1946 Bing Crosby Decca storage case featuring colorful golf-themed artwork, a distinctive Bing signature graphic, and an accompanying booklet. Copyrighted 1946 by Decca Records, Inc. and printed in the USA, the illustrated case features a golfer in a brightly patterned jacket against a rich green background, making this collection an appealing addition for Bing Crosby enthusiasts, vintage vinyl collectors, jazz and traditional pop music fans, and collectors of mid-century music memorabilia. The storage case key is missing. The records, sleeves, and case have minor wear consistent with age and use.
