Bring the beauty of ballet to the table with this vintage Lily’s Dance four-piece dinnerware set, developed exclusively for The Art Institute of Chicago in 1996. Inspired by the celebrated ballet dancers depicted in the paintings, pastels, and sculptures of Edgar Degas, the set features whimsical ballerina artwork designed by illustrator Giselle Potter in a sophisticated palette of turquoise, burgundy, and soft gray. The set includes an Arcoroc glass plate and bowl made in France, a Luminarc 10-ounce glass mug, and a coordinating vinyl placemat, all housed in the original illustrated box. A delightful collectible for admirers of Degas, ballet décor, museum gift-shop merchandise, vintage children’s dinnerware, and Art Institute of Chicago memorabilia. Good vintage condition with minor wear consistent with age and use; original box shows visible storage wear.
